NLP has secured a four-year time extension to the period to submit reserved matters for an enlargement to the Arcades shopping centre
and new bus station at Ashton, Greater Manchester. The Arcades extension will provide almost 20,000 sq.m (gross) of floorspace and was originally granted permission in 2006, but development has not yet commenced due to the recession.
Jacqui Deans, Senior Associate Director at NLP, said: "We are delighted to have secured an extension to this planning permission. The development will enable Ashton town centre's retail offer to be enhanced and will form part of wider regeneration of the town centre when the Metro extension opens in Ashton in 2013".
